BANKRUPTCY

  • Trinitas Advantaged Agriculture Partners IV, LP, et al. (USBC, N.D. Cal.). Chapter 11 counsel for investment company and 17 almond ranch operators in Central Valley of California. 

  • Shift Technologies, Inc., et al. (USBC, N.D. Cal.). Chapter 11 counsel for de-SPAC omnichannel automobile retailer. 

  • The Roman Catholic Bishop of Oakland (USBC, N.D. Cal.). Co-counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors representing the interests of over 300 sexual abuse survivors. 

  • The Roman Catholic Bishop of Santa Rosa (USBC, N.D. Cal.). Co-counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors representing the interests of over 200 sexual abuse survivors.

  • Speedboat JV Partners, LLC (USBC, N.D. Cal.). KBK represented debtor in refinancing debt on Lake Tahoe property worth over $12 million, successfully opposing chapter 7 foreclosure sale, and obtaining dismissal of chapter 7 case. 

  • In-Shape Holdings, LLC, et al. (USBC, D. Del.). KBK was lead debtors’ counsel for a premium regional fitness club chain in California, with debtor-in-possession filing and asset purchase agreement with a purchase price of over $45 million plus assumption of liabilities.

  • Ravn Air Group, Inc. et al. (Bankr. D. Del.).  KBK was lead debtor’s counsel for Alaska’s largest commuter airline in its Chapter 11 case, resulting in a confirmed liquidating plan and the sale of different business lines and assets in over a dozen transactions, leading to anticipated aggregate proceeds of over $60 million.

  • Anthony Levandowski (Bankr. N.D. Cal.).  KBK is debtor’s counsel for a noted driverless car engineer in connection with a nine-figure dispute involving Google and Uber Technologies.

  • PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (Bankr. N.D. Cal.).  KBK was co-counsel for the PG&E entities in their chapter 11 cases, the largest chapter 11 filing in the Northern District of California in over a decade, through confirmation of their plan in June 2020.  KBK continues to act as counsel for the reorganized debtors.

 

  • JadooTV, Inc. (Bankr. N.D. Cal.).  KBK was lead debtor’s counsel for internet protocol TV provider focused on South Asian and Middle Eastern content.

 

  • New Cal-Neva Lodge (Bankr. D. Nev.).  KBK was lead counsel for the chapter 11 debtor, owner of storied Cal-Neva Lodge Resort and Casino on Lake Tahoe, in its successful sale and plan confirmation.

 

  • Delivery Agent (Bankr. D. Del.).  KBK acted as lead counsel for an e-commerce company chapter 11 case involving divestiture of one business and sale of the core business to a venture lender after auction.

 

  • The Homestead at Whitefish (Bankr. D. Mont.).  KBK acted as lead counsel in the successful restructuring of a real estate development in Whitefish, Montana.​
